Planting Trees for the Queen's Jubliee

Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for the Planting Trees for the Queen's Jubilee Grants are now open.

Eligible organisations including not-for-profits, schools and local government bodies can apply for grants of between $2,500 to $20,000 to fund tree planting projects in the Canberra Electorate to mark the Jubilee (70 years of service) of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, in 2022.

Funding is available for projects that increase community awareness of the Jubilee, increase the tree canopy in Canberra and involve:

  • planting regionally appropriate tree species that grow to a height of 2m+
  • at least one formal commemorative event in 2022
  • durable signage or a plaque(s).

A total $100,000 has been allocated for grants in each Federal Electorate and organisations can apply for up to 100% of the cost of the project.
